Joshua Lawton
Founder / Managing Director
Josh is a seasoned business, technology, and government funding leader with experience across federal agencies, Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits, and emerging technology organizations. As Managing Partner of Squared Compass, Josh leads strategy, funding acquisition, certifications, government contracting, and consulting delivery for public and private sector clients. His background includes global cybersecurity portfolio leadership at HSBC, product and business leadership at the Global Cyber Alliance, senior consulting work with Booz Allen Hamilton, and service as a Presidential Major Initiative National Pilot Lead at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Josh also supported DARPA commercialization efforts and has led complex programs involving healthcare, cybersecurity, R&D, finance, and government transformation. He holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas at Austin, and certifications including PMP, CSM, CSPO, CSP, and CF APMP.
Rodney Lee
Director, Business Advisory
Rod is a business advisory, product, and project management leader with deep experience in government contracting, technology commercialization, cybersecurity, defense solutions, and veteran-focused business growth. At Squared Compass, Rod develops new service lines, manages client relationships, supports FED and SLED proposal efforts, and helps clients pursue and win government funding opportunities. His experience includes senior program and technical project management at the Global Cyber Alliance, where he supported cybersecurity initiatives and international partnerships, as well as defense product leadership with IFS North America and commercial aerospace product management with Intertrade, a Collins Aerospace company. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Rod also brings extensive training, operations, and maintenance leadership experience. He holds a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA in Project Management, and certifications including PMP, CSM, PSPO, Pragmatic Marketing, and AI for Grant Writing.
Norman Emineth
Business and Industry Analyst
Norman Emineth is a business, market, and financial analyst with experience in government procurement research, proposal development, budgeting, compliance, and risk analysis. At Squared Compass, Norman conducts federal, state, and local opportunity research, analyzes procurement databases, supports GSA MAS and VA schedule efforts, monitors regulatory changes, and develops responses to RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitations. His background includes financial forecasting, market analysis, and budget management for business expansion efforts, as well as service in the U.S. Navy as an All Source and Geospatial Intelligence Analyst. During his Navy career, Norman led intelligence analysis teams, managed a military training budget, and developed training programs for more than 60 analysts. He holds a Master’s in Financial Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, a Bachelor’s in Management, and an Associate’s in Business Administration.
Tiara Davis
Research Analyst
Tiara Davis is a procurement analyst and former U.S. Air Force Contract Specialist with experience in public procurement, competitive bidding, FAR/DFARS compliance, vendor negotiations, contract administration, and contract closeout. At Squared Compass, Tiara researches government procurement opportunities, supports proposal development, organizes past performance and competitive data, analyzes solicitations, and helps clients align procurement actions with compliance requirements. During her Air Force contracting career, she prepared and reviewed contracts, modifications, and amendments; evaluated proposals; assessed price reasonableness; tracked deliverables and funding; and finalized contract closeouts. Her earlier healthcare experience as a respiratory therapist adds a strong foundation in documentation, compliance, and high-pressure operational support. Tiara holds an Associate of Applied Science in Contracting from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Arts from American Public University System, and a Federal Acquisitions Certification in Contracting.
